For a modern vacation home at the Baltic coast, the owner wanted a comfortable ambiance with a combination of classic design furniture and objects from the house´s environs. The concept was implemented through natural tones with brightly-colored accent pieces made with high-quality materials. The living room with a large sofa was intended to be the central gathering place. The centerpieces and focal point of the living room was a coffee table constructed out of three large, black colored tree trunks that provide an interesting contrast to the modern sofa. The adjacent fireplace seating area with a luxurious lounge chair and cowhide rug provides an additional cozy seating area. Wood benches in the dining room and the adjacent kitchen set the stage for cooking evenings for family and friends. Another favorite hang out spot for the children is a window seat that is covered with cozy cushions and pillows. The bedrooms on the upper floor are furnished with the finest beds and custom built-in cabinetry. In the master bedroom, two elegant leather couches as well as a large fur rug create a comfortable atmosphere. The predominant color for the accessories in the childrens rooms are delicate pastel tones and blue. Authentic Berber rugs are further accents in these rooms and keep feet warm. A further bedroom is as a reading area or quiet corner. On the generously-sized terrace and in the garden, custom-made lounge furniture with an elegant outdoor fabric as well as Adirondack chairs create a unique oasis.
